The Christmas Giveaway

Hello, Developers!

We're coming to the end of 2022 and we're here to share the festive season with you.

To celebrate Christmas with the developer community this year, we're running a 3 week giveaway marathon in hopes we can get this super cool Dark Keys Tee to as many of you who've made Showwcase such an incredible success in 2022.

Starting 12th December 2022 to 31st December 2022 if you refer 5 NEW DEV FRIENDS to Showwcase you will automatically be eligible to win 1 Original Showwcase Dark Keys Tee.

Each new friend you invite to Showwcase will earn you 5 points and you have to collect a total of 25 points to win this t-shirt!

To get started, you should now see a points tracker in the social bar on your Showwcase Home page. Here you will be able to see how many points you have earned and clicking on it will take you to a dedicated Referrals page.

On your referrals page, you'll be able to see everything you need to invite and track your incoming friends to Showwcase. You'll also be able to see how many points you've accumulated in the main dashboard.

To invite a friend, all you have to do is click the "Invite" button and a modal will pop up where you can decide to type their email and have Showwcase send them an invite email OR you can share your referral link with them and they can sign up with that link.

This is how it'll look like:

At the bottom of your Referrals screen, you'll be able to see the friends you've invited to Showwcase.

There is a 5 step process that they'll need to complete to ensure their successfully onboarded and you get your 5 points! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

Account created - once they've created their account you'll know since the progress bar will be at this step

Profile set up - your new invites will need to set up their profile to a reasonable capacity such that we know they are a real person!

Posting their first Thread. As you're very aware, we want to see them as part of the community and the best way to do that is to introduce themselves, share their knowledge, and engage with the community!

Community verification - this is an incredibly important step. The community will work together to ensure that this user is not a fake user, bot, or here just to get some free lunch. We all want to see the community grow and so we want all your friends to be truly activated.

Activation!! You get your 5 points!

We all want this to be a huge success! We want as many people to win these super cool T-shirts and rock these swag everywhere they go in 2023. But, there are some rules we'll have to lay down to ensure we weed out the bad actors.

You have to get 25 points by 31st of December to be eligible for the T-shirt. So make sure you get your friend's in ASAP!

You should not try to cheat the system by inviting fake emails, accounts, and empty users. We have a system in place to track these and have put measures in place with the community to ensure this does not happen. At the end of the day, we're here for the community, so no need to engage in such behaviour.

Once your 25 points is achieved and you become eligible, we'll record that and ship the t-shirt straight to your doorstep! You will need to share some details with us like full name, contact no, address, and email so we make sure it gets to you. More details on this will come after.

We will only be giving away 1,000 t-shirts this Christmas and this will happen on a first come first serve basis. Once they've run out you won't be able to get them anymore. We're keeping track of the date and time you've received your 25 points so we can order all the winners. Once you've gotten your points you can also take a screenshot if you'd like.

Yes, you can! If you achieve 50 points you'll eligible to win 2 T-shirts.
