Hello! My name is Deepak Ragu, and I am a sophomore Regents and Chancellor's Scholar at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Computer Science and Political Science. My previous experience working in the political field has made me passionate about working with data and engineering solutions to help our world become a better place. Additionally, through my past projects and internships, I was able to work with NLP tools, from analyzing the sentiment of political facebook campaign ads to understanding customer queries at Amazon. I realized I want a better understanding of the specialization of NLP, and seek to gain a greater knowledge of computer science as a whole through my future endeavors.
