A Unified Database System Design for Grocery Inventory Search and Recipe Sharing

All You Can Eat (AYCE) is a prototype database system project for exploring the data related infrastructure development for such a unified system which aims to help customers to improve their grocery shopping experience on a retailer-independent basis. Given that food ingredients constitute the majority of grocery shopping spending, the AYCE bridges cuisine recipes database and unified inventory database to further improve user experience. To be specific, AYCE provides a unified endpoint for searching for inventory of different stores, updating inventory prices and promotions, update and search for recipes and backup synchronized shopping lists.
